I know exactly what you mean...
...there was a massive bastard bee in the kitchen yesterday, bout the size of my thumb (and I have canny big thumbs to start with). Not only was the window next to it wide open, but the bastard thought it was a good idea to try and make it's escape through the piece of glass next to said open window. No matter how primitive their little brains possibly can be, they've got to be able to tell where the hell the fresh air is coming from.
