The money all goes to the BBC and they spend it like this

All the other channels use advertising for revenue and are funded privately or grants from the government to produce "educational" programmes mainly. They do not see a penny of the TV licence. So you are paying just to watch the BBC. SO by banning them you, in theory, wouldn't have to pay the fee.

Edit: Bravo to the BBC though for managing to obviously hide the fact that you are just paying for them!
