People who play computer games for the graphics...
...and not the game itself. Utter utter cunts. These people would play games like "Rise of the Robots" and ignore games like "Gauntlet", would play King Kong but not "Deus Ex" and play any version of "Jurassic Park" over "Theme Park".

"Errr, that's a bit shit mate."
"Graphics are fantastic though..."
*walks away*

Also, people who buy Graphics Cards to play games on a resolution higher than a 10 Megapixel camera; the card being worth double that of the PC in which they place it in. Looks great once it loads, but takes yonks due to having an old 20gb FAT32 hard drive. But it plays Quake 3 wicked.

NB If you are a cunt who buys graphics card at a rate of knots then just remember that the average human brain can only process about 90-100 frames per second of information, any higher is not required. If you spend about £500 on some monolith of a card to get a game running quicker than that then you are literally pissing in the wind.

yes! indeed!
as awful as When Graphics Go Bad (another related peeve). Amazing how "fantastic graphics" in games are, in actual fact, not. And have little physical resemblance to reality. And how exactly does one define reality, anyway? Argh.

OMG
yes. As a long suffering Nintendo lover, my plaintive bleats of "but the gameplay..." don't tend to wash with my friends. The DISGUST when I crack out something like WarioWare is tangible.

Let's face it...
...we only bought Tomb Raider for the graphics. And you had to admit, once you'd completed it, you couldn't really be bothered to play it again.

(And of course, years later, I have grown beyond puberty and realised that actually the graphics weren't that great after all)

I enjoy
Rubbing it into the faces of "pro gamers" .. they always go on about "my computer is the fastest" until i just go up to them and tell them i spent only £500 on the entire fucking machine, rather than just the graphics card.

So a 1GB GC that some gamer spent £300 odd on,.. i got one that is just as good for £63.00.

So ha!

I built an expensive computer
It cost me about £1500, I tried to get high end (but not ridiculous) hardware, built on a good solid base - decent but not excessive cooling to prolong the life of some of the components, a solid, hardwearing case to cop with knocks. That was three years ago, and barring any hardware failures, I expect to be able to have games playable on it for another three years at least.

^^Built one for about £600
Got a 2nd hand 256 Geforce card a few months ago for £30, otherwise it plays World Of Warcraft fine for me. Am litterally not fussed on anything other than this at the mo, the £8 a month game charge keeps me more than happy :D

Jeccy
Not bad, and if the thing works,.. even better!

I just can't stand it when they go on about having the latest hardware.

Mine can play modern games (including Crysis) on a high setting without lag.

So they can stick it where the sun don't shine.

=D
