This is a question Phobias

What gives you the heebie-jeebies?

It's a bit strong to call this a phobia, but for me it's the thought of biting into a dry flannel. I've no idea why I'd ever want to or even get the opportunity to do so, seeing as I don't own one, but it makes my teeth hurt to think about it. *ewww*

Tell us what innocent things make you go pale, wobbly and send shivers down your spine.

pregnancy
the most absolutely horrifying thing i could ever conceive of. Just terrifying. Pregnant women freak the living shit out of me. I just don't know how they can go happily about their lives when there's ANOTHER LIVING CREATURE GROWING INSIDE THEM

gaaaah

i don't think i ever got over the shock of finding out where babies come from.

I won't have sex, because as i understand it that's how the whole horrific process begins. (I did it once, 'cause i wanted to lose my virginity. We used a condom and he withdrew before anything could happen AND i still panicked and took the morning-after pill and spent the next day throwing up)

related: any organism that develops inside another as a parasite gives me the utter fear. Like that thing someone posted about the wasps that lay their thingies inside the spiders that make them knit weird webs. horrors, horrors

You do realise...
... that if there IS a God(s) that's how they designed up, and that if there isn't a God(s) then that's a state we've spent billions of years developing to.

I always like to think of it more as a manufacturing facility than a parasite; a Parasite is normally unwelcome and would be gotten rid of if possible, whereas the majority of pregnancies go unterminated and so can be taken as intended or at least welcome.

Re parasitic wasps:
It was me who posted that. Apologies. I've clicked "I like this" on your story to make up for it.

You sound like a girl I went out with (briefly) once.
"I want you to withdraw. I ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE IT WHEN YOU CUM!"

In the end we never managed to get it together. It was the most unromantic 10 minutes of my life.

Hmm...
I wouldn't call it a fear in my case, but being pregnant gave me the willies big time. Every time he moved, or a limb protruded, I had to push it back in.

*EDIT* big willies gave me the pregnant

Yep, me too
Get yourself a contraceptive implant - they're the most reliable form of contraception there is and in most cases they stop your periods too. Use condoms on top of that and you've got about a 1 in a billion chance of getting pregnant.
