This is a question Political Correctness Gone Mad

Freddy Woo writes: "I once worked on an animation to help highlight the issues homeless people face in winter. The client was happy with the work, then a note came back that the ethnic mix of the characters were wrong. These were cartoon characters. They weren't meant to be ethnically anything, but we were forced to make one of them brown, at the cost of about 10k to the charity. This is how your donations are spent. Wisely as you can see."

How has PC affected you? (Please add your own tales - not five-year-old news stories cut-and-pasted from other websites)

I used....
...to work in IT for the NHS transport service. I was installing a new PC at a desk in a hospital waiting area for a new member of staff to use to book out patient transfer appointments.

The new member of staff was starting the day after so I turned up. Installed the machine and went back to the main office.

The day after I got a phone call from the head of HR saying that a complaint had been put in from the new member of staff that I hadn't installed the machine in a politically correct way. Apparently I had put the mouse on the right hand side of the keyboard thus assuming that the person was right handed. I was told I should have put the mouse above the keyboard and in the middle incase the staff 'member' was left handed and then they wouldn't be offended????????????

The worst bit, they were serious. The next worst bit, the person didn't get sacked for putting in such a stupid, stupid complaint.

I know a couple of lefties.
And they've all learned to mouse with their right hand anyway.

I'm right-handed for writing, but can type or mouse with either hand. It's not difficult.

I write with my left hand
and hold a shovel left handed, but play cricket right handed. I mouse with my right hand, and hold my knife in the right and fork in the left.

And I'm ambidextrous when wanking.

I'm 'southpaw' too
I identify with everything k2k6 said, except I don't play cricket. (and I always revert to the left hand during the vinegar strokes)

As a lefty myself
I use the mouse with my right hand, enabling my to write, drink or pick my nose with my trusted left hand.

Also a lefty
And my mouse is always on the right hand side.

Another lefty
Again, I use it on the right. Wouldn't really be able to use other computers if I didn't...

And I'm ambidextrous when I wank, if by that you mean "has to use two hands" *chortle*
