Prejudice
"Are you prejudiced?" asks StapMyVitals. Have you been a victim of prejudice? Are you a columnist for a popular daily newspaper? Don't bang on about how you never judge people on first impressions - no-one will believe you.

traffic lights...
People who witness me pressing the pedestrian crossing button, only once mind you as anymore is completely unnecessary, and then proceed to press it themselves as if they think my pedestrian crossing activation skills are inept. Do they presume to offend and annoy, do they like just like pressing buttons or are they just mentally retarded. I prefer the latter...
I expect these are the same people who don't know how air-conditioners work and operate them on ridiculous settings.

Shits me to tears.
I'm Australian so better go before my many prejudices show.

this boils my piss too.
I think most b3ta folk are in countries where j-walking is overlooked, so most people won't really have experienced this. What annoys me more though, is when some idiot is there before you and doesn't press the button but stands next to it so you can't see that they haven't pressed it. Not really a prejeduce but, AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHHH!

You ought to know
that you can't trust anyone else to do the job properly.
So you have to do it yourself to make sure it's done properly.

well
funnily enough, I cross at the same Ped x every morning. I can see it from quite a way off, and if someone has pressed it within about a minute of my arrival, it goes red after about a further minute. If no one has pressed it for a while, when I do, it goes red quite quickly.
However, the other day, someone pressed it, crossed, and it went green, and I arrived a few seconds later. I know this means it will wait a minute at least before going red again if I pressed it. BUT. Someone on the otherside of the road, pressed the button at exactly the same instant as me? Result - lights immediately changed in my favour. Just so you know...

The people who don't know how air conditioners work
are the same ones who turn their ovens to a higher temperature, to make them warm up more quickly!

I've been doing this
for years and I've never been sure it's getting the reaction I want. Thank you for the reassurance, it wasn't wasted effort after all!

Pushing the button is fun!
It was always an honour being able to do it when I was wee and I never really get a chance to now! =p
