Outlook is a wonderful tool, but not when it keeps reminding you that it is now 96 weeks since you were supposed to finish a report you haven't even started yet.
Just how lazy are you? How long will you put off the essential or the inevitable? What do you fill the time with?
(We're too lazy to write something funny here. You do it.)

1. Start essay
2. Ooh, I'd work better if my desk was tidy
3. Start clearing desk
4. Ooh, I might as well do something fun while I'm sorting this out
5. Put TV on
6. Finish job, halfway through the episode... well, I might as well find more cleaning to do while this is going on...
7. Episode finished. It'd be a shame not to have the whole room this tidy, and the program on next looks interesting...
8. Room is spotlessly tidy, it is now 1am. Better get some sleep!
9. Repeat as needed.

I think I wrote this post in my sleep. While I was putting off something else.

Yes, you are soooooooo right.
Sometimes I even put off the cleaning, and let it build up until a time when I know I will be busy and will need distraction.

my life wavers between having a hideously messy flat (no essays) and having the cleanest flat, ever (and essays.) There's no middle ground. :P

Far more effort than the original thing we were supposed to be doing would have taken.

It's kinda sad, but I think there's a lot of things that we just wouldn't do if we were SUPPOSED to be doing them! That's why cleaning was invented. ;)
