PLAYING FUCKING GAMES for the entertainment of the masses
Yeah. And whilst were at it, let's hate actors and musicians.
A person's wage depends on what they are worth to their employers. I'm not saying people get paid that amount, workers are exploited and if they weren't, profits would be shared accordingly and you're wandering into Marxism there.
A pro footballer might get paid several million per year, but how much are they worth to the club they play for? Many millions more. They are private companies after all and can pay what they like.
There are only a few people that skilled at the game. If I was in say, the top 100 most talented people in my line of work, I'd want paying a small fortune too.
If you're going to have a dig at footballers, or any other professional athletes, then concentrate on their lifestyle and contempt, not their wages.
I wonder how much David Beckham et al paid in taxes whilst he lived in the UK.

Well said.
Also try to focus on their immunity from the law. Take Steven Gerrard (or Stevie G as the proles call him); he assaulted someone, and despite video evidence to support this, got off scot free.
On the other hand, I wouldn't be unhappy if they let him off, then just appended the punishment to Joey Barton.
