Hesold his record company to Sony - which is where everyone gets the association from.
He wouldn't have profited from any sales of Rage after this event, as he had nothing to do with Sony from that point, apart from a contract of employment.

Right, I'm off to play my PS3 on my Bravia TV, while texting people on my Xperia and playing some music through a Walkman!
