Thirded.It's not the rescuing of pit bulls I object to. Any breed of dog can get a bad reputation - one of my friends has a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and it's one of the most docile dogs I have ever met - but the nature of the responses is reminding me of a rabid little terrier that latches onto something and WON'T LET GO.
