Used to live on a road where there were a lot of accidents (Unrestricted country lane going to built up area with roundabout 300 yards later)
So many screeches of brakes, and emergency services called, with the inevitable 2 bored plod turning up to take statements and angle for tea and hobnobs. We'd sit them down and then they'd look at the bookshelf. Lady B is a true crime fan, so they'd have books about murders etc facing them. They never hung around too long
