I went to university with Rob Webb(and presumably David Mitchell too, although I don't remember him). One of my friends summed him up rather well as 'the kind of guy who isn't gay but wishes he was'. But it was pretty obvious from the start that he was going far. I directed him in a play once and he was great.
Having said all that, I do think David Mitchell is by far the funnier of the two. He totally rules The News Quiz whenever he's on. And the bit where he's pissing into a desk drawer in Peep Show is one of the great moments of TV comedy IMO.
