Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

Banks?
In the news this week. My bank has recently decided that I am worth £5K of credit limit less, even though it only increased it last month to cover my (always paid on time) expenditure.
What great things has a bank done to you?

no offense
but I don't think this question will be selected, so I want to vent.
When I was about 20 or so, I lived in a small apartment with one flatmate, and I was on the dole with a small amount of part time work. I was with the ANZ and I paid my rent by cheque directly to the real estate agent. (These days most RE agents expect it to be done by Bpay, and that's a fucking great idea.)
Anyway, the ANZ issued me with a shiny new chequebook to E. Bruce-Dickinson. I had already written my rent payment with it, which had been honoured, when the bank realised that the chequebook they had given me was really for Edward Bruce-Dickinson, not Emily Bruce-Dickinson. They very kindly and without warning took $200 (a fucking fuckload of money back then, especially to dole scum) out of my account. Fortunately I have parents, who were kind enough to spot me for groceries for a couple of weeks, but I shudder to think what would have happened if I didn't.
Nowadays I know enough to complain, but strangely enough I don't care to use the ANZ (not that any of the other banks would be any better).
