Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

Have you ever attempted to write a book/film/TV series and how bad did it suck donkey balls?
I remember a particularly bad "story" I wrote at the age of 14. It was very fraught and emotional. I found it about a year later and threw it away out of embarassment.
I'm currently working on an idea for an animated cop show set in 1978, starring a tall, modestly hot woman detective and her good looking ginger midget partner, whose middle name is Archimedes. Every week they must try to thwart a crime baron who uses a chocolate company as a front for his crimes and two of his henchmen are mimes. I'm doing this for the sheer hell of it and because my job is boring.
What craptacular stories, screenplays or ideas have you come up with and how far did you actually get?

That sounds so awesome
I have two unfinished efforts clogging up my hard drive.
One is a horror/comedy featuring Zombies that I was 10,000 words into that I ditched when I heard about Shawn Of The Dead
The other is about growing up in a small village and the idiots/characters who live there, this one is semi based in reality but with names and places changed and a dollop of artistic licence.

Don't you just hate it...
...when you come up with a good idea and someone comes along and does the exact same thing (a la Shaun of the Dead)?
I like the second idea, sounds a bit "My Family and Other Animals" but without the animals.
I can't really take all the credit for the idea, my boyfriend helped a lot, although I fully intend to animate the opening credits at the very least!
