Question of the Week suggestions
Each week we ask a question. The idea is to generate material that's:
* interesting to read, i.e. we won't get bored of reading the answers after about 10 of them
* not been asked on this site before
* fun to answer
What would you like to ask? (We've left this question open - so feel free to drop in ideas anytime.)

Birthdays are...
When I was a kid, my mother forgot my birthday. Needless to say I cried like a baby. Went to school & the teacher asked me what I was upset about, so I told her. Her reply was that my mother would probably forget it in 10 years time as well!
Shit! thought I, that would be my 21st birthday then. Nobody did forget my 21st, I was so relieved, had a great birthday with the mother & father of hangovers - that was not so good.
More on topic, I had a bit of a 24 hour freak-out on my 30th, as in birthdays suck, don't even mention it ya bastard. My 40th went past so smoothly, cos nobody actually noticed it - I can't tell you how good that felt, majorly sneaking under the radar like that.
Yes, I'm officially an old fart (but with a young soul/heart/whatever you choose to call it).
Cheers
PS Happy birthday, hope you have a great one to remember.
