This is a question Racist grandparents

It Came From Planet Aylia says: "My husband's mad Auntie Joan accused the man seven doors down of stealing her milk as he was the first black neighbour she had. She doesn't even get her milk delivered." Tell us about casual racism from oldies.

Thanks to Brayn Dedd who suggested this too

Not my Nan, thank god.
We lived in a small, rural town, and I don't think anyone ever really expected anyone who wasn't white to appear. Eventually, one young black guy arrived, and it was clear that he wasn't wanted, was threatened, etc.

However, one day he was taking a walk, when he encountered the aforementioned elderly lady. Upon meeting her, he greeted her, and commented on the weather.

Her response? "Up yours, nigger"

A little while later, more trouble arrived, and after the young bloke sorted it, she decided to offer him some apple pie to make up for her earlier insult. He accepted it happily, but before she left, she felt the need to make it clear that he should have the "good taste not to mention that I spoke to you".

What an old fucking hag.
