Ooh. I've not heard of that. Sounds interesting.If you go round the other side of Snowdonia there is a path. The Watkin path.
You go up past some waterfalls and pools, up to a plateau where a Prime Minister gave a speech, and along to some ruined miners houses. There is a small graveyard with unmarked slate headstones. Though if you want to carry on to the top it's pretty tough going after that.

The Watkin path is a bitch.Go from Rhyd-Ddu, it's easier and usually quieter.
If you're up for a bit of a challenge go up Craig-y-Llan from Beddgelert and see if you can beat the record.
It stands at about 13 and a half minutes.
