I think this raises a number of issues
the public humiliation of her- don't tell me that when the phone rang when you were with your mates you didn't make a show of it.
But saddest is the need to phone each other when you were in the same building, and the ringee could even hear the ringtone, you were that close.
Nothing to do with feminism, just lack of respect and laziness on both parts.

Well there was a basic lack of respect on both parts true.
but without a richer context you can't begin to appreciate the reasons. I've been honest with the situation as I saw it - my own faults included which I could have simply not mentioned. You've also assumed she or I wasn't still at the pub which I neglected to mention for brevity. Please feel free to assume any facts not mentioned are exactly as you say.
