Road Trip
Gather round the fire and share stories of epic travels. Remember this is about the voyage, not what happened when you got there. Any of that shite and you're going in the fire.

Very best of luck.
Do they still give out a rally buff at the start? Those things quickly become indispensable. I still use mine.
Oh yeah, my other tips (in addition to avoiding drunk Russian lorry drivers) are: take a load of babywipes, get one of those point-it books, and pack a dust mask.

Jealous :(
Second the wet wipes, and if you can squeeze it in get an electric coolbox. 16 degrees below ambient temperature may not be icy cold but when your bumping down a track in Kazakhstan, and its 50C it makes water drinkable.... and the odd beer before you crash out exhausted to start driving again when the sun comes up. I wanna go again!

And a funnel with some kind of mesh filter is a good buy -
the petrol in Mongolia is 80 octane with addded sand.
An electric coolbox would have been sooooo good, yep. I want to go again too.
