This is a question Rubbish Towns

I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

I hardly chose it i was born there against my will
The furthest east i've been is to that ridiculously oversized shopping centre in white city. But I currently live in the far western end of Ealing which is probably the worst bit

Now I understand
I'm from Ealing as well (south of Popes Lane). I know exactly what you're saying if you live in West Ealing though ;) I agree completely about how bad it is. My point was only that there are even worse places. Slough anybody??

Is that the popes lane in south Ealing?
I don't live quite in west Ealing but more Northolt. I'm white so i look like a rice krispie in a bowl of coco pops

that's the one
i was always getting chased by skinheads from northolt and greenford when i was younger so not that keen on anywhere in that direction really.

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't have been me then
I lived in Acton, west Ealing, Northields then Northolt 5 years ago so pretty much the whole spectrum of Ealing

Another Ealing local...
...and you're right, it is a shithole. Ealing Broadway wasn't bad, West Ealing used to be okay about 20 years ago, but now it's just full of pound shops, ditto with Hayes Town (not to mention the predilection for local historic buildings to go up in flames, and then have flats reappear on the site - someone's coining it in there!). Southall ain't even worth mentioning.

2 pubs burned down
Recently and they were both owned by the same guy. And they both were listed buildings so he coudln't knock em down and make flats. And shockingly he's now building flats there.

I don't even class southall as a town it's just a blind spot on the way to somewhere better
