Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

Wakefield
Once spent a couple of weeks working in this god forsaken rate-my-pitbull rapefest of a horses armpit in deepest darkest Yorkshire.
It’s a pretty dull place. The most memorable thing that happened during my time there was when I had the biggest, most intense shit of my life. Took a good half an hour and was like giving birth to triplets without an epidural…

Me too.
I'm in St John's though, as opposed to somewhere like bloody Lupset.

I cycle past St. John's most days of the week
Please don't throw things at me.

Pity me...

Ha!
I lived in Wakey for 3 Long Years, while a student at Bretton Hall. Ah, the memories!
- Being called a 'southern poof' within 2 hours of being there
- Being called 'flower', by a man, not half a day later
- The Forrester's Arms Sunday Night Karaoke... *shudder*

Moi aussi...
...I also have the pleasure of being a Brettonite. Although I had the pleasure of a year living in Darton during my first year: That is until all the student houses got burgled in one week and we were moved out en masse. Mint.
I loved our house in Wakey though. Where else can you live in a Victorian house with brass chandeliers and fake panelled walls full of 70s booty for 30 quid a week? It was like two years riding The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland.

I live here.
Whilst there's a good pub culture and if you know where to look, you can find some very good live band venues (The Hop in particular being excellent), Saturday night is a little bit stabby at times.
It might be a shithole, but it's my shithole.

The Hop is indeed an excellent venue
Shame I always get dragged into Mustangs instead.

Sucks for you fella.
Me and my circle of friends won't go anywhere near the place. Or Cream, or the Gate. But for some reason they seem to love going into Faisal's. They must have a bloody death wish.
