I once had a "friend" (I hated his guts) who lost two jobs on the same day - he drunkenly crashed the taxi he was driving when he was supposed to be at his office job. How have you been sacked?

This is exactly how NHS disciplinary procedure works and is not made up at all.

A company can ring your agency up and tell them to send someone else and you can be out the door as soon as.
Edit: btw the boss tried to claim his was a Wiccan pendant. Didn't really jibe with his T-shirt, or the look in his eye that said that this was his passive agressive way of dealing with the Christian employee he also didn't like.

i don't know or care if the story is true or false
but just because there are procedures doesn't mean that people follow them. luckily for lawyers.
