AgreedAlso (If you live in Blighty and rust is a problem) Buy yourself a cheap welder The price of £200 for a Mig welder has saved me £1000's over the years.
The other advantage of fixing / servicing things yourself is that it can be fixed as soon as you get the parts. Not when the Garage can fit you in 2 weeks down the line
