I grew courgettes in a grow-bag a couple of years backafter an enthusiastic allotmenteer gave me a couple of her excess plants.
I put the bag in a sunny spot and kept it watered and eagerly watched over a couple of months as the plants grew flowers, and the flowers turned into fruits, and the fruits grew into proper vegetables! Must have been, ooh, at least two meals' worth. If I'd bought them from the shop, they'd have cost me... about half what the grow-bag cost. Erm.
