You forgot about the house favourite of zero. In this case you would lose half your bet and get returned £2.50. Which is still profit considering if was from a £5 voucher, but means you may have to skimp on the food next time round.

Yeah you're right, I forgot to mention that one... we'd figured that it'd be unlikely enough that you'd just have to pay for the £5 whenever that happened..... Im not sure that you'd get the 2.50 back on that given that it's promotional, but if you did, yeah, you'd have to put £2.50 between 2 people for the burger, so £1.25 each... shame there's a zero ;) but then these places dont expect that sort of idea, it's just a loss leader to stop you going out a buying food elsewhere and risk not having you return to gamble away your other kidney etc...
