The degree.
Absolutely worthless these days. Only of any use if you want to go into post-grad research or a graduate training scheme (which you should apply for at the end of your first year.)
Leave school at 16 with decent GCSES, get on a good GNVQ (or whatever they call them these days) for a trade you like and spend five years earning. It'll all still be there when you turn 21, only you'll appreciate it a lot more.
