School Assemblies
Our school assemblies were often presided over by the local vicar, who once warned us of the dreadful dangers of mixing with "Rods and Mockers". One of the cool teachers laughed. Tell us about mad headteachers and assemblies gone wrong.

This is one of the reasons for which I avoided being a prefect at all costs.
The other one was that, at my school, prefects were clearly unpaid temps responsible for doing all the tedious and mundane tasks that teachers deemed were beneath them (supervising the lunch queue, making sure no-one was inside during breaktime when they were supposed to be outside, etc.). Apparently it was all worth it though because the school took all the prefects out to Wimpy at the end of the year. Ahem.
