This is a question School Days

"The best years of our lives," somebody lied. Tell us the funniest thing that ever happened at school.

just a thought
As nearly all of the replies to this question mention that the author was not 'one of the cool bunch' or 'part of the in crowd' in school.

This has got me wondering.... either

(A) You only recognise there to be an 'in' crowd if you are not part of it, the 'cool people in school were unaware of there standing, and exclusion of others

or

(B) B3ta is full of uncool geeks

hmmm
I don't really remember there being a cool group at my school.

does this mean I was part of it?

(I know it doesnt, I only became cool after I left school)

I reckon
It's a bit like that Two ronnies sketch, but only with 2 classes rather than 3

If you're not looking up to anyone (secretly or otherwise), people are looking up to you.

I'm sorry to tell you, but this would imply you always were cool

There were shiny kids who went to parties a lot
I wasnt one of them but our gang had all the metalheads, goths, cureheads. rockers and punks (it was the 80's) and we smoked a lot of doob and drank cider.

Dunno which is cool.

Aaaaw Baz
Of course you were cool,

I'll just have to rethink my theory pryor to publication, thanks for throwing the spanner in my works :-(

*Pedantry*
Two Ronnies Frost Report

That'll be another vote for B then...

"there"?
Do you mean "their"?
(, Fri 30 Jan 2009, 12:15, closed)
But that would break the grammatical structure....
it's deifnitely "there"

And as if this didn't already answer the theory - B) is correct.

Grammatical structure?
What utter bollocks. Its "their", it's got fuck all to do with grammar, just poor spelling. "There" is as "Its over there", or "There is your car, dude", the proper usage is "It is THEIR choice", or "Their time will come". I'll await the "I'm borderline dyslexic, you know" post.
(, Fri 30 Jan 2009, 12:58, closed)
actually
it is grammar, but still ridiculously incorrect
(, Fri 30 Jan 2009, 14:25, closed)
Brilliant
That was a complete mistake on my part, apologies to my pedantic friends.

I'm nowhere near dyslexic, and have been accused of being one of the 'Lynne Truss Brigade' in the past, and am now so ashamed of my grammatical error that I will be spending the next month on sack cloth and ashes.

I would consider a ninja edit, but that would make all of the replies pointless

How you can afford the following level of pedantry now is beyond me:
