This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

Something I Don't Understand
If a man hits a woman its perfectly acceptable for her to smack him one back in self defence,
yet some people think if a woman hits a man and he hits her back its wrong.

I don't understand this at all. I mean, if I started smacking my brother about as in I was seriously trying to hurt him (as opposed to just playfully giving him a slap) I'd expect some kind of retaliation.

Ohhhh no!
If anyone hits me, male or female, they are gonna get hit back.

I learned the hard way.
I used to see a girl. She was pretty, stacked, clever, understood rugby union, was from a very good family.

After several months together, one night this girl had a bit too much to drink. I dunno if it was the type of liquor or what, but she went mental with me. After ranting and raving, the slaps and nails started. Then the fists came in, then the boots. And although I'm a big fella and not getting especially hurt I started to get a bit worried. It was when she picked up a lamp that I finally grabbed her by the neck and just held her by the throat until she calmed down.

Now, the place was double glazed and double-locked: quick escape is not a realistic option and anyway, turning your back on a lunatic who could quite easily kill you so you can find keys is not on the list.

So that was my only foray into violence aginst a woman. And it fucked my head up. There were tears the next morning, lots of "I've never behaved like that" and "sorry" and "I will change" (from her, btw). I'm sure more than one woman reading this will relate. But it does something to you, that sort of thing. I kind of felt like I had to tell the women I was in subsequent relationships with, like confessing to an STD or something. It's coloured my view of this subject.
