This is a question Sexism

Freddie Woo tells us: Despite being a well rounded modern man I think women are best off getting married and having a few kids else they'll be absolutely miserable come middle age.

What views do you have that are probably sexist that you believe are true?

It's not just the seat
It's the LID too. Why oh why do so many people completely ignore the fact that toilets have lids? I think it's horrid to see a toilet with an open lid. When a female has finished using the toilet - and leaves the seat down, but the lid up(!) it drives me to despair.

Once when I was house-hunting, I even closed the lid of the toilet in front of the estate agent. It was up, so I automatically put it down as soon as I saw it when we entered the bathroom.

Oh, btw.. I am a man.

To me
a down toilet lid means there's something horrible lurking below it, that should not be disturbed.

have to disagree
I believe it should be lid up, seat down.

That way anyone, of any age or gender, living in the house or otherwise, who ate something dodgy and is having a brown alert emergency, will be able to dash into the smallest room, sit down, and let nature take its course without
(a) leaping up in shock from the freezing cold porcelain and shit going everywhere.
(b) realising the lid is down and that shit is going everywhere.

ALthough this is highly improbable, it only needs to happen once. The trauma!
