There have been a number of scientific studies regarding pain response and gender. They all show the same thing, men feel less pain than woman, and respond less to the pain that they feel.

Balanced against these studies are generations of woman banging on about how they handle pain better than men.

I can’t claim to have the answer, but yesterday the heating in our building was a couple of degrees cooler than normal. The men got on with their work, while the woman constantly moaned about the slightly less comfortable environment, a couple of them even went home because they couldn’t handle the agony any more.
