My sex misconceptions
Freddy Woo writes, "aged eight, a boy from my class told me everything these was to know about sex: male prostitutes are called destitutes and women use tampons to stop men sticking their willies up them. Also, women pee out their bums, something I didn't realise was wrong until I was about 18 and my first girlfriend looked at me aghast."

KMWIP posted a "food revenge" story about putting chilli on his ex's dildo when he found out she had cheated on him after 8 years and had unprotected sex with her boss. He then had a message from a psycho claiming that, as she'd been raped many moons ago and the guy who abused her did something similar, that KMWIPs ex was entirely jsutified in cheating and that KMWIP was a rapist for playing what amounted to a practical joke on her.
At this point, all hell broke loose as the anti-men hairy-armpit brigade and the Emos came out of the woodwork to abuse KMWIP, whilsy getting pissy when anyone questioned a) their logic and b) the fact that we have many stories where women take revenge on men and nothing is seen as wrong with that.
Does that help?

Thanks for clearing that up!
I didn't know what was going on either.
Poor KMWIP, he deserves interweb hugs for that! Guys shouldn't be treated in that way and it is fair enough for the woman to get punished. It's a lot nicer than what some other guys might have done!

To try and offset this a bit
Chad is not very bright. He fails to make the simple distinction between people with extreme views and people who just plain disagree with his particular idea of the world. He discounts their viewpoint by labelling them 'Emos' (sic), 'psychos' and various other silly little labels that just betray his red-top mentality. What actually happened was this:
www.b3ta.com/questions/sexualmisconceptions/post256486
where, as you can see, no-one suggested that it was OK for a woman to do something similar to a man, other than Chad himself.
Still, pretty interesting debate.

Jenny...
Thanks for the personal insults. You claim I am "not very bright", but the BSc in Chemistry and the successful career I have been enjoying would tend to negate that. I contend that a school-age Goth who makes snide comments on his own posts about playing pranks on girls, then jumps on the bandwagon to berate KMWIP (I'm looking at you Slyph) is indeed an attention-grabbing "Emo" - the label, if you like, fits. As for the "psycho" tag - I'm sure that you have a much more PC term for someone who projects past behaviour on to total strangers and then verbally assaults them on that basis, but again, if the cap fits, I suggest they wear it - they are obviously mentally unbalanced.
I actually made the point that KMWIP was getting a kicking from all and sundry for what amounted to a childish prank on a cheating girlfriend.
By the way, the person who PM'ed him effectively said it was fine for a girl to cheat on her partner and that the partner should accept it would happen and not react in any way whatsoever - remember that whole "relationship overlap" bullshit?
If we are to be unbiased, then either KMWIP should be cut some slack, those girls who posted such storues should have been villified in a similar manner. I contend that the sexist attitude is the one that is saying it's ok for women to do what the hell they please if they feel slighted, but if a man reacts at all he's a criminal bastard.
Either the truth is that everyone has the right to these petty acts of vengeance when cheated upon, etc, or no-one does, regardless of age, gender, race, religion or sexuality. Of course, the Guardian-reading contingent will argue that the rights of women/lesbians/albanian hunchbacks/whatever are far more important than those of anyone else and thus they should be given latitude that is not applied to your average white middle-class male of voting age and who prefers women as sexual partners. This is wrong - we live in a society that claims to be fair, yet 99 times out of a 100 a woman would get custody of the children in a divorce, regardless of the circumstances, a white person would struggle to make a racial discrimintation charge stick and a man would be laughed at if he claimed his female boss sexually harrassed him.
I'm not a bigot, despite what has been claimed by others, I am a realist - there are many examples on this very site of female posters playing the "woman scorned" card when taking revenge on an ex and we all took it in good humour, yet a male poster does the same and gets beaten down by the lefties.
All this is occuring on a board which condones jokes about Madeline MCann and Josef Fritzl, by the way. Either we take such posts in good humour and laugh at the mental image of flames shooting out of the offending minge, or we go all serious and shouty and, if that is the case, we have to do that for everyone - not just those who aren't protected by the boundaries of Political Correctness. If it's ok to laugh a girl's tale of kicking a bloke in the nuts, or pissing in his shampoo, etc, then it is perfectly acceptable for a guy to do the same to a girl. Either both get approval, or neither do - any other viewpoint is bigoted, which is ironic, as the fact that I pointed this out caused you to label me as one of the nasty bigoted people. The truth is that I accept people at face value and treat them all equally - you are assuming that people such as KMWIP are somehow given less leeway or freedom as the disabled black lesbians amongst us, when both the law of the land and any sense of decent morality would suggest that no-one should be victimised regardless of who they are. But it was ok to victimise KMWIP because he's a "he" and therefore can't rely on the "woman scorned" card to justify his prank. I've had enough of debating this, because it's obvious the close-minded bigots are those who believe that their viewpoint is right and if we don't agree with the vitriol they spewed in a flurry of PC tirades, then we must be evil.
Frankly, it's sickening to watch them go after someone like a pack of jackals.
