Although sometimes....I had my hospital bag all packed for a three day labour - books, lavender oil, snacks, DS, etc. Was convinced that since it was my first baby, I'd be there for days, if they admitted me at all.
First proper contraction about 11:30pm, in hospital for 12am, Eva born at 02:26am. Didn't have time between contractions to sip a drink. Now that's how it should be! It was proper ER-stylee.
