vending machine
I remember being in a youth hostel in scotland years back. There was a drinks vending machine. I stuck in a pound and pressed the button for Mountain Dew. I had never tried it before and reckoned it was worth a go. Out popped the can.
Followed by another can
followed by another can...
the machine then emptied itself of mountain dew and once I had about 30 cans it continued making clicking noises as it tried to dispense more.
If it had been Coke or something, I would have kept them, but the Mountain Dew tasted rank so I called the warden and told him what had happened.

Ah now, this exact thing happened at a railway station I was at close to Leeds
one of those smaller stations outside the centre, 2 chav teens and their double chaviot of noisy kids had put in their pound for a can of Lilt or some-such, and it just kept giving! They ended up with about 20-odd cans of the stuff!

Rather surprisingly they then ran around the station waiting room arms brimming gleefully giving everyone a can with a smile on their face!

It was a welcome treat on such a hot day, and rather fun, and you don't hear me saying that about chavs very often!

Mountain Dew
I've never seen that on sale here - only in the US. Unless you're talking about the whisky, which isn't normally found in vending machines, and may not actually even exist these days.

MD tastes nice IMO, but it's extremely sweet.

ah vending machine madness
Once, at Central train station in Sydney, I put a $2 coin in, got $7.80 in change and about $30 worth of random snacks. Seriously I had to take my book and stuff out of my bag to stuff it full of candy and chips. It kept me in snacks for ages. I love that machine.
