This is a question Siblings

Brothers and sisters - can't live with 'em, can't stove 'em to death with the coal scuttle and bury 'em behind the local industrial estate. Tell us about yours.

Thanks to suboftheday for the suggestion -we're keeping the question open for another week for the New Year

Only Child
I have no stories about siblings as an only child. No brothers, no sisters, no one.

I will take this moment to dispel some misconceptions about only children.

1. Not Spoilt. At least not me personally, my dad always says to me that i Could have been spoilt but he worked very hard for me not to be spoilt.
2. Not Socially Akward. I think I was a reasonably well adjusted child, although I did have terrible problems sharing with others.
3. Does not have to be the centre of attention 100% of the time. It is nice though.

Advantages: Less childhood injuries, the ability to amuse yourself.

Disadvantages: I'm now under immense pressure from my mother to produce some grandchildren. She really should have thought of this earlier.

and ditto...I don't like children :( If they want grandchildren they should just offer to babysit random peoples' children for the weekend and surreptitiously alter their DNA by Science.

only child also here
but my dad's sister is a bit mad. she lives on the otherv side of the planet and has a habit of forgetting chrsitmas.
anyway, I agree with the misconceptions for only children in general (a few of my friends are) but 2... naw. I have few friends, most of which are from the interwebs (or norway). I also try to avoid attention. except on Gmod, where it's difficult to avoid attention if you're the one with the teleporting jeep.

The grandchildren thing is a nightmare. I need only mention a woman's name and my mum starts planning the wedding 'no mum, she's just a friend!', 'why don't you find yourself a nice girl and settle down?', 'I will when I'm good and ready', 'are you gay? I'ts ok if you are', 'I'm not gay, I just don't have a girlfriend at the moment, and even if I did have a girlfriend I wouldn't marry her and have kids with her just to please you!'... and so on
