Blame DaDaDali...
You had to mention the bloody flower duet didn't you...

One of the pieces of music that has me fighting back the tears for no readily apparent reason.

Barber's Addagio for strings I just can't listen to at all.
Blame HomeWorld for that one. Can't listen to the music without feeling the despairing horror of an entire burned world.
Doesn't matter that it's not "real" it's real enough to think about.

Or for a different mood entirely the track Love you by a slightly obscure 60s/70s group Free Design.
Sometimes an unremittingly perky upper. Other times has me howling into my beer thinking about a couple of people who didn't make it out of the dark.

Not going to write any more, going to have a bit of a sit down and a cup of tea instead.

Adagio
Adagio in B minor? Hell yes, always brings a lump to the throat when I hear it. Such an evocative piece of music. I can't listen to that one if I'm feeling at all blue as it tends to have blinking back the tears; although when you're feeling at peace with the world it's the most beautiful tune in the world!

Doesn't help that it's forever cemented in my mind for its use in both Platoon and The Elephant Man.

As for the trance remix - that just makes me want to maim the bastard who thought that one up...

Aye
Pretty sure that's it. Unfortunately these days I can get a couple of bars in and then have to hit the button before it all goes bad on me.

Remixes are not all bad.
I have a techno remix of Betthoven's Ode To Joy which, whilst being cheesy as hell, is also a excellent bouncy dancy track.

Not "proper" music of course, but still...

well...
...according to t'gf, Adagio sounds just like how the female orgasm feels- just building up and up and up... I have mixed and confused feelings whenever I hear it!

i always think Homeworld
for the adagio as well. Although It always brings to mind outer space and I find myself hearing it if i spend too long looking at the stars.
