This is a question Spoilt Brats

Mr Newton sighs, "ever known anyone so spoilt you would love to strangle? I lived with a Paris Hilton-a-like who complained about everything, stomped her feet and whinged till she got her way. There was a happy ending though: she had to drop out of uni due to becoming pregnant after a one night stand..."

Who's the spoiltest person you've met? Has karma come to bite them yet? Or did you in fact end up strangling them? Uncle B3ta (and the serious crimes squad) wants to know.

Do expensive gifts make you spoilt, if you didn't actually want or ask for them?
When I was a kid my parents used to buy me expensive stuff they thought I should have, and very few of the things that I actually wanted or needed........So when I asked for a relatively cheap "My Little Pony" for Christmas, I ended up with an expensive educationally accurate model of a horse.:S

Not much has changed really, I've gotten very good at making happy faces when I receive expensive but inappropriate/useless gifts....Also I can't pawn the gifts, because they check up on me to make sure I haven't.

Doesn't,
because you wanted something that wasn't expensive and got something that was, rather than the other way round.

My folks did something similar

When I passed my test, I assumed that the car I would get would be second hand. I asked my parents how old they would accept, and they said three years old. Cue me looking for a three year old Clio, and a Polo on the off chance my folks would actually buy it.

Then my mum saw an Aygo in the local shopping center, and she said it would be a good little car for me, so I figured it was either the used Clio or a new Aygo, and wasn't fussed which they got.

My dad got me a shiny new Polo. He caught me off guard, otherwise I would have tried to convince him he could have saved a boat load of money and got me something cheaper.

Aygos
are awesome first cars! My mum's got one, and as I only passed my test recently I was "stuck" driving the little runabout.

What a misconception (that I was stuck and that it was only good as a little runabout). Easily fast enough to lose your (new) license with and handles surprisingly well. Good boot size (especially with the back seats folded down), too.

An average of 62mph down the backroads from Tesco back home really is an achievement in anything so small and cheap!

err... if anyone I know reads this then I'd like to add an "apparently, so I've heard" to the end of this story!
