This is a question Spoilt Brats

Mr Newton sighs, "ever known anyone so spoilt you would love to strangle? I lived with a Paris Hilton-a-like who complained about everything, stomped her feet and whinged till she got her way. There was a happy ending though: she had to drop out of uni due to becoming pregnant after a one night stand..."

Who's the spoiltest person you've met? Has karma come to bite them yet? Or did you in fact end up strangling them? Uncle B3ta (and the serious crimes squad) wants to know.

Spoilt brats ...
Well those would be mine then.

Two of them. Utter darlings (mostly) at home, total monsters (occasionally) when out and about.

Difference? I can't smack their wee arses when out and about for fear of the child snatchers legally taking them away.

Result? One and a half generations (or six if you live anywhere north of York and south of Edinburgh) of totally uncontrollable wee shites.

Good one Labour.

Smacking
Yes, you can smack them within reason. Feel free to. My girlfriends mother delighted in this freedom when she finally came over to Britain.

If they only behave well at home because of fear
then you're a crap parent. Get some help. If you don't, then as soon as the kids're big enough to hit you back you'll be in BIG trouble.

Eh?
It's no good blaming the government because your kids act up, have you tried getting down in their faces before you go somewhere, and telling them exactly what is going to happen, and precisely how you expect them to behave? Offer bribery (Ice Cream used to work for my two, and allowing them to watch football on telly..) if you have to. Keep talking to 'em, especially when they're being good!

And there ain't no law against telling other kids to sit down and behave themselves..on a crowded bus, everyone else will agree with you!

Sorry about the lenght of that...

Sorry, but I'm right onboard with this,
mainly 'cos I live on an estate that's long since been lost to some freekin re-enactment of Lord Of The Flies, the kids rule and we must all work around their wishes, from playing music at fuck you volume to destroying your property/taking your shopping/burning your car, if it's their whim that day, we all must just watch it happen and walk away, 'cos kids are all little angels who need protecting from us nasty evil adults so all laws are on their side and they know it.

Oh, and when they become adults, I so hope I've moved away from here by then...
