This is a question Where is the strangest place you have slept?

'lardaholics anonymous' was bored and started a new question over in the old question, so the least we can do is make it official. What with New Year's celebrations coming up, asking for the strangest place you have slept is nicely appropriate too.

In case you are wondering, Portsmouth beach in the fog. Very strange waking up to that.

in the bois de boulogne (in a tent) - arrived paris v late with little money and decided to have a go at camping in the only place we'd heard of with trees (with which to conceal ourselves from, er, le parkie) - bemused the hookers no end (1981)

in a field before led zeppelin at knebworth - the crowd rushed the gates in the middle of the night before the gig, so those in charge just opened up - got separated from mates and slept surrounded by some hundred thousand plus strangers, clutching several cans of heineken which had to keep me going for the next 24 hrs ...
