In case you are wondering, Portsmouth beach in the fog. Very strange waking up to that.

several ...in the bois de boulogne (in a tent) - arrived paris v late with little money and decided to have a go at camping in the only place we'd heard of with trees (with which to conceal ourselves from, er, le parkie) - bemused the hookers no end (1981)
in a field before led zeppelin at knebworth - the crowd rushed the gates in the middle of the night before the gig, so those in charge just opened up - got separated from mates and slept surrounded by some hundred thousand plus strangers, clutching several cans of heineken which had to keep me going for the next 24 hrs ...
