Where is the strangest place you have slept?'lardaholics anonymous' was bored and started a new question over in the old question, so the least we can do is make it official. What with New Year's celebrations coming up, asking for the strangest place you have slept is nicely appropriate too.
In case you are wondering, Portsmouth beach in the fog. Very strange waking up to that.

In a Self-Made CocoonAfter a hard night of beer, and campfire toast, camping in some words quite a while from here, I realised I had to get home. No problem, I thought, I'll walk the three/four miles to the nearest town, where my friends Grandma lives, where we can get toast and drinks and then get a lift to where I live, another ten miles or so down the road. So we did, it all went well. But upon arriving in my home town, I realised my family weren't in. So, knackered, I did what any good lad would do. I went to Grandma's. But she wasn't in either. I was cold, tired, and it had just started to rain. So I took out my sleeping bag. I took out my coat. I climbed inside the sleeping bag, in my coat, head first, and wriggled in for warmth. In my Grandma's back yard. I promptly fell asleep. I woke up nearly three hours later to find I was being kicked by my brother. Turns out the whole family was out with Grandma.
