Adjectives provide colour and ambiance to the story.If you cut out everything that isn't strictly relevant to the story, you end up with this:
Person 1: 'What do you think life is all about?'
Person 2: 'In what sense?'
Person 1: 'Well, we're all on this planet, orbiting the sun, none of us really have any sense of purpose because our natural instincts have more or less gone. What is life about now, with all of this considered?'
Person 2: 'I honestly think, as long as you're happy and you don't harm or hurt anyone during the course of your life, then you've made the most of it and made of it the best you can.'
Person 1: 'NO! IT'S ABOUT JESUS!'
And this isn't as entertaining.
