Strict ParentsI always thought my parents were quite strict, but I can't think of anything they actually banned me from doing, whereas a good friend was under no circumstances allowed to watch ITV because of the adverts.
This week's Time Out mentions some poor sod who was banned from sitting in the aisle seats at cinemas because, according to their mother, "drug dealers patrol the aisles, injecting people in the arm."
What were you banned from doing as a kid by loopy parents?

motherwhen my older brother was 10 he went shopping with mother and was treated with a wrestling magazine(back in the hogan and ultimate warrior days) she then discovered in the car park that there was 1 particular page that my bro was interested in. the page with a toppless woman on it. the magazine was ripped up and binned right infront of him whilst he cried like he'd just been shot.
when i was a similar age i was at a carboot sae with mother dearest when i convinced her to give me the money for a comic annual. the comic in question turned out to be viz. and when she asked what i'd bought and i showed her she was fine about it.
i think she knew that i wouldnt really understand most of it for at least another 4 years.
