I assure you that
All of the above are viable reasons for describing someone as stupid.

If we all follow your thinking, we'll end up with that ridiculous claptrap of "hearing what you're saying" "understanding where you're coming from" and "differently abled".

If people are thick, they need to be shot, or, alternatively, mocked until they top themselves.

It's evolution at work.

On the other hand
the guy who said his collegue had got the date wrong for her X-factor audition (or whatever it was), and had caused them all to hire a coach to take them to London. . .

Well, it surely couldn't have been beyong HIS wit to check the fucking date, could it?

Well, actually
I agree in parts

1: Yes there is stupidity, it's on the part of the person not ensuring you are trained.

3: Yes, again, the person doing the employing is justifiably stupid.

4: Yup, I am stupid for not explaining that clearly. There is definitely stupidty in action. In the giving of the instruction.

But 2: Well, now you are just a big ol' racialist.

NB: I know you are not a big ol' racialist.

And
I fucking hate myself for using 'racialist'. Dickhead.

It's racists that
came up with the term 'racialist'. They thought that racist sounds too much like rapist.

Either that, or they were to stupid to learn the correct word, haha!

Well - I've rather strong opinions on such.
For a significant period in my childhood I lived with someone who claimed that listening to Radio 4 was "intellectualist".
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 15:10, closed)
Which logically
is the opposite of what they actaully meant.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 15:12, closed)
Perhaps he meant "prejudiced against intellectuals"?
They still broadcast "thought for the day" which is pretty offensive to anybody with higher brain function.
(, Fri 4 Mar 2011, 15:20, closed)
No - it really was because she was too thick to understand any polysyllables beyond
"Aura realignment"
