I think this should win...
I used to work with someone who always put the milk in first when making tea. ALWAYS!

To be honest
I was a "milk in Tea when it is brewed" kind of guy until
my latest squeeze started making mine milk first,
I actually like it the way she does it.

They are correct to.
Gives it a smoother flavour.

You, however, Sir, need to be shot.

If you're making a pot, I'd agree.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 13:31, closed)
Well how the hell else does one make tea?!

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 14:00, closed)
When one is forced (or one's servants are forced) to make it with a bag in a mug.
Putting the tea in first and the milk in last sttrikes me as the lesser of two evils.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 14:24, closed)
Tea? In a bag?
What?

It's this sort of nonsense that brought down the Empire.
Either that or Darth Vader anyway.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 16:24, closed)
Only infants and morons need milk in tea.

Oh look.
Another puppy wants attention.

What'll your trick be? Gazzing me through the night? Creating a joke account in my honour? Or just desperately trailing me around b3ta until somebody anybody starts to take notice of you?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 16:00, closed)
These are all one person, I'm sure.

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:02, closed)
The correct way to put milk in tea
is to have one's servants do it.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 12:13, closed)
I think you'll find it's to have
one's servants' servants do it.

ACTUALLY.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 12:18, closed)
make the pleb drink QT.
problem solved.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:24, closed)
I believe that you are correct...
... long ago when most of the world was a part of Greater Britain, decent crockery was expensive. To cushion your questionable quality crocks from the shock of the hot tea you would therefore put the milk in first.

In the "best houses" you would therefore see scolding tea poured directly into the cups, with the milk to follow, just to show that you had money to buy the very best china. It is widely recognised that tea made that way is horrible but no matter - it's the showing off that counts. See also fashion.
