Do you notice...... that one eye has a slightly different colour balance to the other? I remember years ago noticing that if I covered up one eye, then the other (obviously uncovering the first eye) then one eye saw things with a blueish cast and the other with an orangey cast. It looks like one eye is daylight-balanced and the other is tungsten-balanced.

I've noticed that too......one eye seems to a have a warmer colour balance than the other. However, you should bear in mind that if you keep one eye shut for a while you'll still be getting some orangey/pinkish light to it through your eyelid. You'll adapt to this light so when you open it again the worl will look slightly bluey-greenish through that eye. That doesn't mean that you're wringm but you can't test it by keeping one eye shut for ages.
