productwhatever your blade preference (and I agree, more than three just seems to be a waste of time) your "foam" choice may also make a difference, and stop the expensive little fuckers wearing down so quick.
Stuff the Gillette foam, forget "King" of Shaves (which must at some point bring badgers and their posteriors to mind), give Somerset's Shaving Oil a try. I don't own shares or get a commission (more's the pity) but my face is as smooth as an infant's hindquarters...
