This is a question Thrown away: The stuff you loved and lost.

Smash Wogan writes, "we all love our Mums, but we all know that Mums can be cunts, throwing out our carefully hoarded crap that we know is going to be worth millions some day."

What priceless junk have you lost because someone just threw it out?

Zero points for "all my porn". Unless it was particularly good porn...

My dad
Is one of those pretend Muslims which pick and choose when they want to follow Allah. When he was still married to my mum in the godforsaken '80s, he made her sell off her entire David Bowie collection - all his albums up to that point including the rare-as-fuck Diamond Dogs 'Genitalia' cover, imports, the lot, because they were symbols of Western decadence and therefore insultful to Allah and The Prophet (he was in a fundamentalist zone at the time).

He then proceeded to gamble all the money made from the sales away.

This was a time when our front room furniture consisted of an armchair (for my dad, obviously), a table with two chairs (only to be used at meal times) and newspaper for carpet. Oh yes.

My dad was a cunt.

Close
Shiregreen.

Biggest council estate in Europe, after Wythenshawe.

Still, it's not the Manor.

Funnily enough, it nearly was...
My folks are originally from Wakefield, and when we went on the council house list, we were given the choice of...

1. Manor.
2. Park Hill Flats.
3. Shiregreen.

I think my mum did the right thing!

I would say so indeed
I had an ex from close to the Manor- Herdings Park. Yeesh. And as for Park Hill... how that ended up a listed building I will never know. I work in Wakefield now, oddly enough. Wakefield House, out the back of where the market used to be.

I really love these so called muslims...
... Who find western culture offensive to Allah, but go and f*kin move here and have kids here. Then proceed to pressure their kids into becoming social outcasts because they cant do what all the other kids are doing - like kissing behind the bike sheds, listen to rap music etc.
Which just fuck them up for eternity.

Hypocritical fuck socks.

my friend....
My friend is from Turkey and he calls himself a muslim...even though he frequently gets pissed, likes nothing better than a nice bacon sarnie in the morning and smoked my stash of hash one time....

he calls himself a muslim..

respects Ramadan though.

Edit: man, I've just noticed I've started using English slang. Been down here tooooo long...need to move back to Scotland...:)

@Miggyman
Interesting point, that. As an atheist, there's not much I unthinkingly interpret as offensive to an invisible superman I've never met, but if there were, I reckon the last thing I'd do would be to immerse myself in it.
