This is a question Thrown away: The stuff you loved and lost.

Smash Wogan writes, "we all love our Mums, but we all know that Mums can be cunts, throwing out our carefully hoarded crap that we know is going to be worth millions some day."

What priceless junk have you lost because someone just threw it out?

Zero points for "all my porn". Unless it was particularly good porn...

Some research needed, methinks
Is there a mental disorder that leaves mothers genuinely unable to tell the difference between "Random crap on the floor" and "Carefully organised collections stored neatly"?

Yes.
It's called "motherhood".

Sadly, many wives fall victim to this with regard to their husbands, resulting in much unpleasantness.

Come to think of it there's a male equivalent.
Dads, or at least a lot of the dads mentioned on this QOTW, seem prone to "BeingadickbecauseIcan Syndrome"

HELLO!!!!
Silly billy! They can tell the difference. They just do it to piss you off.

It's some weird mum joke thing.

My Step Son
leaves toys and Lego all over the floor. I repeatedly tell him to pick it up. My partner tells him to pick it up. Together, we both tell him to pick it up.

He does not pick it up...

Mr Vacuum does pick it up though...

I am not brave enough to go into his bedroom, I fear that the accumulated filth will become sentient and savage my knees!
