This is a question Tightwads

There's saving money, and there's being tight: saving money at the expense of other people, or simply for the miserly hell of it.

Tell us about measures that go beyond simple belt tightening into the realms of Mr Scrooge.

T shirts
I've decided I don't want to pay for t-shirts that I can afford but could quite frankly design myself. So I do that in my spare time now. I am also too skint to afford decent advertising so ended up posting something on here in the small hope someone would want to buy one, or at least tell me which ones they thought worked.

Does trying to turn an expenditure into an income count as being tight or just opportunistic?

in my experience
slogans are more popular than 'designs'.

Yep
It's a sad world, but I hate slogans!! Couldn't find many designs I liked either so have to do it myself! Keeps me busy I guess...

Oh
I like some of those designs, might have to purr chase one...

I have
registered an interest in a robot! They're lovely, and I would be happy to have one wrapped around my torso.

Whoops - I mean "Spam! You self-advertising bast"

So when do you place an order? Whenever you go over 10 paid up people or so?

i may be reading that wrong
but it seems they get more expensive, the more you buy
which is silly

What this guy said. How come they get more expensive the more you buy?

No pressure. Try searching for 'economies of scale' on the google.

I thought that at first
But then on reading again, it's not price breaks for greater quantity, I think he's just saying that the first people to buy t shirts get them cheaper. Like Easyjet seats, or something.

k, so..
The earlier you buy them the cheaper they are, just like easyjet, I guess, though I never thought of it so. I just was trying to think of a way to help my mates get them cheap. I never thought anyone would buy more than one.

I'd buy the chopper one...
.... but I'm a tightwad, so would probably nick your design and do it myself.

Cool
It's all yours. Costs bout 20 quid to produce one if you go vi those print your own places. I don't mind. Be nice if you clicked an ad to get there though. :)

Do you sell plain t-shirts?
Personally, I can't stand logos, patterns, stripes, slogans, or anything on my clothing. But it is next to impossible to get a plain t-shirt that won't be knackered inside two months. I got my latest batch from cotton traders so all I have to put up with is a small logo on one sleeve.

Apparently
You can get plain t-shirts from amazon these days, for about 2.50. Or click any of those ads on my page and they seem to sell them for about 3 quid. I agree, impossible to get plain tees these days!
