Perhaps all the people wearing tinfoil hats are actually government plants, forced to wear said hats, lest the government's control wane and their dissemination of critical conspiracy theories fail? Government conspiracy theories are, of course, a massive exercise in mind control and the biggest conspiracy theory ever conceived.

a tinfoil hat may prevent electromagnetic rays from penetrating the brain but ONLY IF IT IS EARTHED, so a tinfoil hat without a large yellow and green striped cable attached to a water pipe or top pin of an electrical socket is purely wishful thinking.
